Treatments

We will use any combination of treatments below to best address your health concerns & goals:

Proper nutrition is essential to good and lasting health. A good diet does two things: 1 – it reduces the severity of whatever health problem is present, and 2 – promotes health to prevent illness later in life. A Wholistic approach to health must include the choice we make every day—what to eat. The Surgeon General recognizes that diet is a contributing factor in at least seventy percent of all illnesses. Yet few Americans know what foods to eat and avoid. Despite the popularity of fad diets, there is no one diet for everyone. At The Gaeta Clinic we individualize a nutritional program to you — your health problem, body type, and lifestyle.

Nutritional supplements can compensate for a bad diet, and yet cannot replace a good diet. Good food choices are the basis of the nutritional program we create for you. But with soil depletion, stress and pollution, even a perfect diet is not enough. So we recommend professional-grade, food- and plant-based nutritional supplements. No matter what your health concerns and goals are, following proper diet and supplementation guidance from a trained professional can profoundly change your life for the better, and in a lasting way.

At The Gaeta Clinic, our approach to clinical nutrition includes both:

  • Dietary counseling
  • Food-and plant-based nutritional supplementation

Herbal medicine is the use of natural substances from around the world to rebalance the body. It is a 7,000 year-old tradition dating back to ancient times, which today includes some 15,000 substances, mostly from plants, as well as mineral and animal ingredients.

As a part of Chinese medicine, the goal of Chinese herbal therapy is to rebalance the energy system. At The Gaeta Clinic we first assess the patient’s energy imbalance using traditional methods of Chinese diagnosis, and then choose the appropriate herbal formula, which changes over time as you change.

Dr Gaeta also uses a Western style of botanical medicine, which combines traditional herbal practice with modern research and biomedical science.

Herbs are medicine. Like all medicines, they can cause problems if used improperly and without education, training and experience. Even with all the information available on the internet, some of which is conflicting or confusing, herbs work best with trained guidance. If used properly, phytotherapy is safe, and effective in two ways:

1 – helping with a specific health problem, and

2 – strengthening the body to promote health & longevity, and prevent illness.

Herbal medicine not only treats symptoms; it can rebalance the whole person at all levels, address many underlying causes, and promote well-being and the manifestation of innate potential.

Acupuncture is the insertion of very thin needles to rebalance the energy system. The specific sites used, often called “points,” are doorways, or energy vortexes, into the energy system. These energic portals lie on pathways called “channels.” Channels, or meridians, are unseen rivers that carry the life energy (Qi) which underlies and unifies all bodymind function.

Acupuncture needles are sterile, safe and disposed of after use. They are much thinner than the hypodermic needles used in a doctor’s office, so they are far more comfortable when inserted. Acupuncture is not painful, nor entirely painless. Once the needle is set, it usually is not even felt at all. Needles are left in for about 20 minutes, then removed.

Acupuncture is deeply relaxing, and is best known for the treatment of pain and addictions. The range of health problems Acupuncture can treat is vast. The World Health Organization recognizes over sixty illnesses effectively treated with Acupuncture. An Acupuncturist must complete a three-year Master’s-level training program, pass a national certification examination, and be licensed by the state. Some states consider Acupuncturists primary healthcare providers. Acupuncture is a 7,000-year old Oriental healing art that has tremendous potential for helping people in the modern age – to treat specific conditions, preventatively, and to assist in a person’s manifesting their highest potential in life.

Amma Therapy is an ancient East Asian healing art and a modern form of wholistic healthcare that promotes, restores and maintains optimal health. It combines Asian Bodywork Therapy with wholistic lifestyle counseling. This includes nutritional counseling, stress management, cleansing/detoxification, acupressure, herbal remedies and meditation. Amma is based in traditional Chinese medicine, which rebalances the energy system to help the body heal itself, and restore lasting health. Amma technique consists of focused circular manipulations along the energy channels of the body. This improves the flow and balance of Qi (Breaths, Life Energy) in the body, and results in a state of being relaxed and energized. The Gaeta Clinic is one of the few health centers where Advanced Amma Therapy is practiced by a Certified Amma Therapist.

Dr Gaeta uses the most clinically-researched, best-in-class clinic and home care PEMF device that greatly improves your blood and lymphatic microcirculation (74% of your entire vascular system) and calms your nervous system, providing deeper relaxation, repair and recovery. As he likes to say, “I became a better acupuncturist overnight once I added this to the acupuncture treatment.” This device uniquely results in up to 30% better delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your cells, and better drainage / removal of waste and carbon dioxide from your cells. This helps all of your organs work better, accelerates your healing process, improves nutrient delivery to your cells, upgrades athletic performance and recovery, and encourages healthy aging and prevention. Daily home use is just eight minutes twice per day, for you and your family. If you rent or obtain one for home use, Dr Gaeta’s team provides comprehensive onboarding and training so you will get the most benefit from the device. Also, there is a version of this device specifically for horses, which dramatically improves their health, performance and recovery

This is another clinically-proven way to improve mitochondrial (energy) production, circulation and collagen formation (tissue repair). The light device Dr Gaeta uses in the clinic, in conjunction with acupuncture, Asian bodywork and PEMF therapy, combines both red and near-infrared in an LED panel. You can also obtain a device for daily home use.
